A 3 hour Creative Workshop for Young Ones (8 - 11 Years) with Bonnie Porter Greene
In this workshop we will take most boring everyday objects and draw them. Sound exciting? No, not really!
I will supply all materials, and some objects for us to draw - but I would also like you to either look in your pencil case, or around your house for something that you might not normally look twice at - a favourite worn down pencil, the pencil sharpener your best friend gave you in school…it can be anything, as long as you can put it in your pocket and you wouldn’t look twice at it or call it ‘beautiful’.
I will show you a couple of techniques and tricks using gouache and pen and at the end you will have a lovely little illustration or two to take home - that you made!
2 day workshop
A three day workshop where you will learn the fundamentals of landscape painting. Colour mixing and the tonal structure of a landscape will be explored.
Draw and paint the landscape in a traditional manner as well as through abstraction and engagement with contemporary practices. The workshop allows students to respond directly to the landscape working en plein air and develop art work back in the studio.

Saturday 3 hour workshop, morning tea included
In this workshop we will take most boring everyday objects and draw them. Sound exciting? No, not really! Trust me, as an artist, I see the world a little differently. I see beauty in everyday objects, places, buildings, signs, streets. Hidden, forgotten things and places are exciting to me! I will help you see the beauty in the everyday.
All materials included, you will take home the small workshop kit, including artist quality paper samples (postcard sized), a tiny paintbrush, an artist pen and some gouache samples.
I will also provide some objects for us to draw - but I would also like you to either look in your handbag, or around your house for something that you might not normally look twice at - lipstick, a favourite worn down pencil, the pencil sharpener your best friend gave you in school…it can be anything, as long as you can put it in your pocket and you wouldn’t look twice at it or call it ‘beautiful’.
This workshop is about creating a little bit of mindfulness in our lives through looking at the world a little differently, and sitting, focusing, using our hands to create something beautiful. At the end you will have a lovely little illustration or two to take home - that you made!
